Ot and Sien made of resin playing with cat 11x7x10cm

Two famous friends from the school books

Ot and Sien are among the most beloved children in Dutch book history. They come from the school reading books written by Hinderica Scheepstra, with illustrations that made the stories come alive. Generations of children learned to read with the adventures of these two friends. Even today, their faces are recognised by young and old. This resin figurine brings that warm world into the home.

Playing with a cat

The figurine shows Ot and Sien playing with a cat, a scene that fits perfectly with their everyday world. It radiates the peace and innocence of a time when playing outside, caring for animals and simple games were part of daily life. The soft, friendly look of the figurine makes it easy to love at first sight. It is a small piece that captures a big feeling of nostalgia.

A warm look for the home

Because the figurine is made of resin, the details and colours stay clear and fresh. It stands nicely on a cabinet, a shelf or a windowsill and brings a cheerful accent to the room. For people who grew up with Ot and Sien, it is a lovely reminder of their childhood. For younger generations, it is a friendly introduction to a classic piece of Dutch heritage.

A collector's piece and a gift

This figurine appeals to collectors of Dutch book characters and to anyone who appreciates nostalgic decorative items. It also makes a heartfelt gift for a mother, a grandmother or a teacher who loves the old stories. A gift that carries a memory always feels more personal. Ot and Sien playing with their cat bring warmth to every collection and every home.
