History and Background of the Battle at Quesnoy (1940)

The armored vehicle that served as the blueprint for this miniature was part of a French light mechanized division (DLM) that engaged in fierce rearguard actions during strategic operations in the spring of 1940, including near Quesnoy, France. The machine was highly advanced for its time and was considered by many experts to be one of the best tanks of its era due to its excellent balance of speed, armor, and firepower. This specific model accurately reflects the external features and operational configuration from those crucial historic days in May on French territory, including the specific camouflage patterns and markings.
