The squirrel on its branch

A squirrel on a branch is one of the most recognisable images from nature. It is the moment when the animal pauses briefly, observes, or rests from climbing and foraging. This porcelain thimble captures that iconic scene in an elegant format.

Life in the canopy

Squirrels spend most of their lives in the tree canopy, where they eat, sleep, and build their nests. The branch is their highway, their home, and their lookout post. This thimble honours that inseparable bond between the squirrel and the trees.

Composition on porcelain

Placing a squirrel on a branch on the small surface of a thimble requires careful composition. The painter must find the right balance between the animal, the branch, and any background, so that the whole appears harmonious and balanced.

For nature lovers

This thimble is an ideal gift for anyone who enjoys watching squirrels in the forest. It is a tangible reminder of those moments of stillness and connection with nature when you spot a squirrel sitting on a branch.
