Beagle Dog Porcelain Thimble

The beagle may be the most recognizable medium-sized dog in the world: sturdily built, with long floppy ears and a tail that never seems to stop wagging. This porcelain thimble portrays this beloved dog in miniature.

Born tracker

The beagle was developed in Great Britain as a hare-hunting dog that worked on foot. Its exceptional nose makes it one of the best scent specialists among companion breeds: customs services around the world deploy beagles to detect forbidden food items. At home, that nose means every trash bin and every lunchbox gets a thorough inspection.

The ideal family dog

Beagles are known for their friendly, sociable nature. They are good with children, usually get along fine with other dogs and love company. Their playful curiosity and comic expressions have also made them favorite film and cartoon heroes; anyone thinking of a loyal, mischievous dog quickly pictures a beagle.

Within the collection of dog breeds

Dog thimbles are a beloved collecting theme. This beagle simply belongs in any such series: the breed is too popular and too recognizable to skip. It sits nicely beside larger breeds or other hunting dogs in the collection.

A gift that lands

A thoughtful gift for owners, breeders or anyone who loves the breed. As a small thank-you or birthday surprise, such a breed portrait always scores well.

Families often choose the breed for its robust health and pleasant medium size: not too fragile around playing children, not too large for a family home, and always ready for a garden game.

In short: a cheerful miniature portrait of a world favorite among dogs.
