Kazakhstan Flag Thimble Porcelain

Sun and eagle above the steppe

The flag of Kazakhstan shows a golden sun and eagle on sky blue, symbols of freedom and the endless steppe of this young country. It is one of the most beautiful and poetic flag designs in the world - now also to admire on this porcelain thimble in miniature.

Discovering Eurasia through flags

Central Asia remains uncharted territory for many collectors, which makes it all the more attractive. With Kazakhstan you open a new region in your collection: next to Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan a row emerges bringing the Silk Road back to life.

A country of contrasts

Kazakhstan combines nomadic heritage and cosmodromes, steppe and skyline. Those contrasts make the country fascinating to collect: every object tells two stories at once. This thimble is no exception.

A gift off the beaten track

Do you know someone who travelled along the Silk Road or collects with passion for the unknown? This thimble is exactly such a token showing you listen well. Small in size, great in meaning.

Endless horizon, compact object

The steppe is about space; this thimble about concentration. That contrast makes it special: it evokes infinity while fitting in the palm of a hand. Present it on an even surface so the sky-blue field can breathe, perhaps with a sand-coloured mat beneath as a wink to the steppe. Maintenance is minimal: dusting suffices. So this poetic symbol of Central Asia remains for years the most serene point in an otherwise busy display cabinet. Even the smallest spot at home thus breathes the space of the endless steppe.
