History of the 1959 Mini Cooper

The year 1959 marks one of the most significant milestones in automotive history: the birth of the Mini. Designed as a compact, fuel-efficient, and revolutionary city car, the model quickly evolved into a universal cult icon. This refined porcelain thimble showcases the characteristic black version of the original 1959 Mini, beautifully set against a scenic landscape background. It effortlessly brings unique British charm to your display cabinet.

Artisan studio work and high-quality finish

This piece has been crafted with the utmost care and passion for detail. The thematic illustration of the black Mini Cooper is manually applied to the fine white porcelain in-house. Afterward, the collectible undergoes an intensive firing process at 800°C in a ceramic kiln. This traditional technique ensures that the print permanently fuses with the glaze layer. The result is a scratch-resistant, UV-resistant, and highly durable finish that never loses its luster.

A valuable addition to your display case

For passionate collectors of thimbles and automobilia, this item is an absolute must-have. Due to its compact size, the thimble fits perfectly into a classic typeset drawer or a dedicated glass vitrine. The object offers a subtle way to preserve a tangible memory of the rich history of classic motorsport and car design, or to gift to a fellow enthusiast.
